David Gonzalez is currently working as
project manager in PRODINTEC within the Production Department. His interests
are related to both Rapid Manufacturing and micro-nano manufacturing. His research
is focused on overcoming the existing barriers of RM technologies in order to
fully introduce them in European industries. Special attention is paid to the
development of new business models capable of addressing the complete value
chain, from product design, product fabrication, supply chain management, etc.
to the improving of processing time and time-to-market.
David is co-author of
28 scientific publications between those corresponding to articles in
peer-review journals of high impact factor, patents, and publications in other
collective volumes. Furthermore, he disseminated his results in international
and national events which gave rise to the publication of 38 communications in
conference proceedings.
PRODINTEC (http://www.prodintec.com) is a Technological
Centre created in 2002 whose aim is to improve competitiveness of its clients
by means of design and production related technologies. Currently, 30 people,
mainly engineers work at the Foundation. Prodintec is specialized in Industrial
and Product Design as a creative, technical multidisciplinary and systematic approach;
Manufacturing (technologies as 3D Object PolyjetTM, Direct Metal
Laser Sintering (EOS 270), 3D laser scanning or 5-axis CNC micro-milling
applied to production and processes); and R&D Management: tools and
methodologies to achieve goals with maximum efficiency.
Prodintec is an active regional/national
actor in the manufacturing field leading a local platform called
"MANUF@CTURIAS". In this platform almost 80 industrial and research stakeholders
join efforts in order to successfully carry out national and European
activities as well as to share innovative activities in the field.
